Back in high school I got into the bad crowd and life went down a bad road ended up catching 2 charges! I had changed my life around and am doing great and I want to continue forth with CDL truck driving dreams! i love the adventure i love exploring and sight seeing and i just love to drive! Anyways,
I have 2 misdemeanor charges
1. misdemeanor hit and run
2. misdemeanor evading from police
Will these 2 charges prevent me from going ahead with getting my CDL license and attending a truck driving school like swift? If these charges will prevent me, will the only way to go about getting my CDL is to get those 2 charges expunged?
Looking into getting my CDL but have misdemeanors

The hit & run is the big one.
May have to attend a private or community college cdl program.
Your state probably pay for it which makes it free to you.
Where is your location; state and nearest town/city? -
You don't remember the year.
I remember mine 1977 -
What are the details of the hit & run?

Government Programs
United Truck Driving School is approved by the California Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE). Approval to operate means that the Bureau has determined and certified that an institution meets minimum standards established by the Bureau for integrity, financial stability, and educational quality, including the offering of bona fide instruction by qualified faculty.
With the help of government funding programs, many truck driver training students get funding to cover part or all of their CDL training costs. The Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) is one such program. WIOA helps to strengthen the national workforce by helping individuals gain the skills necessary to get and retain high-quality jobs. We also partner with vocational rehabilitation counselors to help disabled individuals find employment.Cameron966 Thanks this. -
