If truck wasn’t parked there on shoulder most likely sedan would’ve ended up in ditch.. I suspect trucking company will be sued unfortunately.

You are correct about that, truck wrecks put dollar signs in the eyes of everyone involved. The mitigateing factor here will be WHY he was parked there. If he was taking his 30 or 10 then he is in trouble. If he was there due to a breakdown then he has a pretty good club to defend himself with at least.Magoo1968 Thanks this.

Sounds like the 4 wheeler was to blame with excessive speed. The trucks being slower were trying to get out of the way to the right. Alas the trucks acted like pool sticks on the cue ball

With the way many truck drivers are parking on shoulders for non emergencies now, it could be the trucks fault in some way. All day long everyday, probably my biggest CB gripe daily currently. No triangles no emergency.

Emergency is a subjective term. Yes, I agree, flashers on as the truck crosses the white line. Triangles within 10 minutes. I've seen trucks on the shoulder at night with no parking lights, flashers or triangles!!!
I've stopped on the shoulder to p, but that is in EXTREME situations. It is not a good practice. However, vehicles should not cross the mayonnaise at cruising speed either.
