What tool do you use to remove the ICP valve (sensor) I'm trying to find the correct tool without resorting to brute force and vice grips. Any help appreciated.

IPR injection pressure regulator (on the back of the high pressure oil pump) or ICP injection control pressure sensor under the valve cover on the oil rail?
IPR I just slide an open ended wrench on from the rear, they are not that tight. If you have an air compressor that may compliate things.
ICP sensor just a normal norman wrench.Last edited: Oct 28, 2021

Is this a egr engine? This is a ICP sensor from a 2005 dt466. Its under the valve cover, screwed into the oil rail.

Yes it’s a 15/16. I have an old wrench I cut down so it fits better.

I think you are referring to the IPR valve. I have used a 1 3/8" open end wrench but
its a struggle some times and the discharge line has to be removed from the compressor.
Snap-On makes a Socket for removing the IPR. It is a 1 3/8" 3/8" drive socket with a slot
to clear the connector.cprems Thanks this. -
