Truck Load Rates Halt 8 Week Slide 2.0

Money was wired to my account this morning. They'll be picking up on Monday. Spent the last couple days cleaning it up and removing the lettering. Kind of mixed feelings, but glad to be retired from driving.

 

I am sure you'll miss trucking in some time...at least you'll have moments like that. We tend to remember good things.

 

Good deal. Well, worst case in a couple years if you want to “play” truck driver then just go buy yourself another rig and get after it. You know what to do now so that’ll always be an option.

 

I will miss being on the road and seeing the sites, but I'll be able to pull into anyplace I want in a 4 wheeler and grab a comfy motel room for the night without walking across a piss stained parking lot.

Honestly I'll be too busy taking care of my parents in the foreseeable future. Two weeks ago my dad's cardiologist put him on blood thinners. Last week a red rash appeared on the back of his thigh, then it got worse and worse until I took him to the ER. Turns out he bumped into a table and was bleeding internally and didn't know it. Judging by his hemoglobin count, they figured he lost at least 3 pints, and said had he waited much longer he would have bled out. So yeah, I think I'll be kept busy. It really sucks getting old.

Somebody has to pay for that $450k to immigrant families coming across the border that the president is proposing. I'm thinking about renouncing my citizenship and walking across the border. What a sweet deal.
