I have a c15 mxs that was taken to 17:1:1 compression and single turbo by previous owner who did the work. I’ve been doing trips from Denver to Kansas City and I noticed that when I get to KC my oil is at proper level. Upon arriving back in Denver it needs close to a gallon to get back to right level! The trip back to Denver is 10k heavier but still not more than 35k. It will pull a hill no problem, but it starts to feel like it’s working too hard or something, seems like a vibration/noise is the only reason and explanation I can give as to why I feel like it’s working too hard, almost like it’s lugging but I’m up at 15-1600 rpm. Is there any less expensive options I have to find out what’s going on in the engine? Oil samples have come back good but idk if me having to add so much oil in between PM would hide the true readings?
c15 mxs Cat issues, using oil, slightly lugging at 15-1600 rpms
