7 hours straight no stops. Take a few hours to stop somewhere and hang out drive the rest of it out.
Or chase my clock get a day ahead of schedule and camp out at the deliver (if it's somewhere cool)
Or chase my clock deliver early and keep running (weeks I wanted more $$)
Long trips I can do 3500miles a week and be home on Saturday (depending on the areas)
How do you guys drive coast to coast, what is your routine?

Here is a whack job whose murder defense was energy drink abuse..ruled incompetent to stand trial.
Judge's incompetency ruling in Maple Grove triple killing cites mental illness, energy drink abuse -
Now, for us LTL'ers and foodians, i think energy drinks are ok IF you're moving around----like delivering food into a restaurant or store or IF you have an inside delivery. If you drink it like 10-15 mins before doing the delivery or moving around then you'll burn up all the sugar and other stuff in there and really it gives you energy so it's ok. If you're just going to drink it and sit in front of the computer or just drive, then NOT GOOD.
Now, to the original question, i have only done coast-to-coast like 3 times and it was only east to west. i would just drive as long and as far as possible then take the 10hr break. This usually takes 4 days. A faster truck not only helps, but really is a necessity. -
I used to turn the left coast every 6 days in a JB Hunt truck. 3 months at a time, paper logs. 9.5 cents per mile per diem. 4600 miles a week, PPG account lots of miles. Could not go back OTR after doing linehaul. Outlaw in me couldn't do it.
