    I’ve had some good dispatchers and a few bad ones. The one I have now is my favorite. Guaranteed not to fire me. Lol.

    I had a bit of time on my hands recently, and I ran the numbers for Goldie for 6 months based on IFTA reports;

    It's all about family and money.
    I need family.
    I don't need money.

    And not to sound like a wealthy super trucker @@@, it's just that I have enough and more than I ever wanted.
    Paid off house, a buck and a half in the bank, and a wife that loves me.
    I'm all good.

    Took this dude as a passenger when I started in '05. Maybe was Spring of '06.
    England gave me like $400 for taking him.

    Mormon hook up.....who knows.

    Anyway the dude was a pilot, and he was going to get into trucking.

    He considered it to be like the last bastion of freedom in America where you still had to use your wits.

    I think a lot of that is gone now. E log being the death nail. GPS.

    Maybe I'm just getting old.

    I still believe the e log, or the people that instituted it, was the number one destroyer of trucking.
    DOT is always all the way up your ### now.

    No one ever gets a Level 3 anymore, and not many Level 2's. Always a Level 1.
