Monee, IL at the Pilot.
I have a 1200 appointment tomorrow at the Manteno terminal for a b service, so I can get the bunk heater checked out once again.
Hopefully they have someone that can actually diagnose and fix it.dptrucker Thanks this. -
Chances are the tech will turn it up full hot and after it works OK for 20 minutes call it good. The bunk heater in my 18 Kenworth would routinely turn itself off rather than cycle on and off. Neither KW or Swift could ever figure it out.Moosetek13 Thanks this.

Knowledgeable techs are hard to find, it seems.
That is exactly what happened at Edwardsville.
I was in a ProStar many years ago that had a chronic transmission output shaft leak.
6 different shops did exactly the same thing... replace the output shaft seal.
I finally got sick of it and told a shop that it was NOT the seal! LOOK at the history of this.
There has to be a score on the race, so replacing the seal will do nothing.
They looked, they saw, and replaced the housing, finally fixing the problem.
But I had to tell them where the problem was, with my backyard mechanic skills. Very sad.dwells40 Thanks this. -
Qualcom techs are the worst! I had to threaten to terminate my lease in order to get my Qualcom fix on my 1st truck. The head of the Qualcom division (in PHX) came to the shop and correctly diagnoised the problem in less than 5 minutes. I was having ongoing issues with the Qualcom in my 2nd truck when it took a dump @ Lathrop. The shop manager had me pull up to the door, took his best guess and managed to fix it first try.Moosetek13 and dwells40 Thank this.
