This is good ####. Longest lasting 5th wheel grease I've found so far.
Not sure if you can get it in Canada, I buy it at Tractor Supply here in the states.
D.Tibbitt, Pamela1990 and black_dog106 Thank this. -
I use three grease guns(seriously, maybe time to see the shrink?).
#2 moly grease for most of undercarriage.
Some slack adjuster manufacturers specify #1(seems logical?). Landing gear, slacks etc gets #1 moly. Most everything gets #1 during winter.
U-Joints, throw out bearing etc gets high speed wheel bearing grease.
Let the beatings begin...Last edited: Nov 11, 2021

What do they use at TA/Petro? Seems like you oughta use what they use if you ever let them do a PM, so your not mixing grease.

I hate any grease you buy.. You get it to the shop, put it on the shelf and go to work. You get home a few days or weeks later and the grease bleeding out of the tube and grease gun, liquefying from just the heat in the shop. I want to buy grease not oil
Buy the good stuffKlleetrucking, Pamela1990, Diesel Dave and 2 others Thank this. -
i use whatever ammo is basic issue for my given assignment, the think tanks and boards decided on a particular formulation based on as much data could be acquired about a formulation and the given use case conditions, in my case it's mobile XHP 222, blue stuff. used fleet equipment is abused and shady but when you want to know what decisions to make, u look at the fleets and how they spec out their stuff and what they use in/on it, they settled on what works best in the long run, all their decisions are based on hard data
Pamela1990 Thanks this. -
At work we use Coastal Hi Temp ngl#2, in the manual hand grease gun. There is an air operated one on the 120lb keg that is Primrose 357?, but the air pump is so problematic, it sits in the corner, I haven’t used it in 6 months.
Pamela1990 Thanks this. -
Nobody has greased my truck but me, since I began driving. Weekly if not running in deep mud, or else every 2nd day if logging, hauling fuel, or moving equipment on logging roads spring and fall mud run seasons. Detach, and grease the 5th wheel weekly also.TGUNKEL, Oxbow, Klleetrucking and 1 other person Thank this. -
