Don't see why there's so many babies when it comes to California beyond the fact that so many get told what to think by their chosen "news" source.
Just left the warm weather in Los Angeles and moved over to Texas. There's just as much homeless and garbage in DFW and the air pollution across the Odessa area was just as bad as LA. I've never seen so many vehicles pulled over by patrol as I do in Texas.
The only thing that sucks about California is the rates getting out since everyone and their mother wants to go there. Same exact problem with Texas though. I'll take the warm weather and pretty scenery over Texas any day. I think a lot of people here are just jealous that California has the 5th largest economy in the world. It didn't fit with their narrative of a failed communist state.Diesel Dave Thanks this. -
You make lotsa money in Ca. I had a six figure income in 98. Only one tiny little problem. Your checking account comes with an automatic belt drive. Money in. Money out.

Why did you move to Texas then?

Cracks me up how much emphasis Companies put on praising their drivers for a good inspection. I realize we do our own inspections and such but let’s be realistic. You get a load, you go to pick it up it’s one of their original 20+ year old trailers. Rusted rims, junk hanging off it, beat up bucket of bolts and you gotta haul it. You know darn well if you get pulled in for an inspection they’re going to find something on this trailer. A crossbeam that may be twisted a bit, a light that’s out of alignment, something. But? You a good company boy so you just shut your mouth and run it.

Oh I mean in a truck. Stuck sitting here for about 4 days as was well before I can get out. At least in Cali I am able to make money in state before I get a load out if I end up waiting awhile. In Texas people will take any low paying POS run even if it cost more to run the truck then it pays, so I try and avoid Texas at all costs unless I have a guaranteed way out.Diesel Dave Thanks this.

So the difference in cost of living, housing, tax rates etc. Aren,t true and are the same in California?
