I want to go OTR 48 state but the mega companies seem a bit too much of a hassle. For example they literally search into your soul for any type of drugs (i dont do any illicit control substances but take some drugs that dont want to disclose) also they have in house physicals that they literally can fail you for anything rather than going to regular urgent care.
What are some small not so recognized companies that go 48 state that arent so strict with the whole process and dont make you fee like a number. For rookies? Thanks guys
What are some relatively small trucking companies for a rookie?

You're going to need to get over this no matter where you end up working.
The in-house physicals aren't really to catch you using drugs, they're to get you on a CPAP machine.bryan21384, autopaint, Divadanidem and 1 other person Thank this. -
danny herman trucking. u wont see pnw or northeast. laid back, no micro management. 1.5 days off/wk out.

No such thing. The only way a company can train is to be self-insured. The only way to become self-insured is to grow into a mega.
The only way around this is to find a local gig that will train, like driving a spotter at a plant or shagging trailers for washout, but that's the furthest from 48 state OTR you can get.Divadanidem Thanks this. -
Ill look into them thanksjethro712 Thanks this.

Where is your location? Probably get some job leads if we know your location; state & nearest town/city.

USA Truck hires new cdl school grads and has a program; as a company driver with 6 mos. experience with USA Truck, you can choose your loads and run where you want to.

The tests for all substances in your body are way too expensive for trucking companies to use on new-hires. They test for opiates, cocaine, THC, amphetamines. Some big companies require you to do a drug screen and get a new DOT Card, which will also test for blood sugar levels.Divadanidem Thanks this.
