ISX oil by-pass help

    I have a 05 volvo with a isx cummins at supposedly 450 horse HAH! anyways I am installing a by- pass kit in it,I cannot see a port or place on the block to install my feed line,can anyone tell me the place on the block that i can tap into? I will probably tap into the oil fill tube or possibly the drain plug,just need help on the other side. thanks in advance. Joe

    There are a number of oil port plugs in the both sides of the block. I used one just ahead and above the full flow oil filter on the right side. For a return, there are a number of plugs along and above where the oil pan is bolted on. Tap into one of these for your return line. I used one just behind the full flow filter. There oil port and return port on the left side about 3/4 back on the block if you need to use the left side to mount your bypass unit. You will have to just check the sizes they are as I can't remember them.

    The port plugs are recessed into the block and you will need a strong hex socket wrench to remove them. They are installed pretty tight, but a good 1/2" breaker bar and a hex socket will loosen them. Then just install you hose fittings.
