    Another thing I like about this site are the folks that will call out other truckers when they are in the wrong, a system of checks and balances.
    The more drivers that hear about this site, the more unity there will be amongst truckers.

    This is ONE of the purposes of this site. Wiseone started it to create a unity, and to keep drivers from getting involved with the bottom of the barrel companies.

    On the subject of the old threads, we don't archive old threads, because the OP is usually subscribed to the thread that they started. Now if someone comes on here asking questions about the subject, the OP will get an email on that thread, and will hopefully come back to answer any questions that the person has. Its actually better than having the SAME question asked over and over again. We prefer to have one thread, verses hundreds of threads. Many threads on the same subject will get merged, thus taking up less room in the database and helps with faster response time. :yes2557: Keeps the site more organized too. :biggrin_25525:

    So a topic only lasts a little while and the there is nothing else that can ever be contributed?
    I've seen some old threads dredged up and read through them and found them quite interesting.
    Sometimes after some time has passed there is more information that makes an old thread relevant again.


    A case in point would be some of the old Arrow threads that have come back in light of recent developments...Perhaps some will see some similarities in policy changes at their companies and prepare for the inevitable demise.

    What I find interesting about "old" threads is the companies that were good to work for that became bad and how many companies that were bad have not changed!
    My perception is that there no companies out here that have actually improved. Can anyone prove me wrong???

    BlackW, you bring up a very good point too. The driver testimony here shows a record for company treatment, company track record, etc. New drivers can make a better informed decision based on not months, but years of driver testimony here. Many thread get resurrected because of drivers reinforcing others testimony on bad treatment, and others get resurrected because company policy changes and drivers will layout those changes, good or bad.

    As new member, I have been able to use the older threads as a sort of timeline for changes in the industry of the last 2-3 years. That, plus research, has been very beneficial to me.
