I figure a complete rebuild on a DD15 with 700,000 with a soon to fail one box and other components is 40 grand to have it right. 20k would of had the 14 L beyond correct. I miss my Columbia. Just a business model thing really. I run new trucks to 450,000 or three serious trips to the shop. Whichever comes first. I, in know way think what I'm doing is the only way to go. It's just what works for me, and in a moment of honesty just takes some stress away. Man I miss my old truck though. Her name was Lucille. Lol

I very briefly did cross dock, hauling bananas to Walmart CDCs The poor soul that that went into port and retrieved the loaded containers, seemed to manage the port fairly well, and even he sat in line at times. Funny thing about hauling bananas to Walmart , that was the quickest and easiest part of the trip.

I hope all goes well. Hopefully a couple stents, and you’re done. All in one visit. They’ve come a long way with stents. Used to be one at a time, up to 2. Now it’s 3-4 at once, if needed. No nerves in the arteries. Barely a discomfort. No real pain. Keep us posted. Best wishes.

The only advantage of paying much more for a Dealer to do an inframe, is the coast to coast warranty. 1,2,3 yrs. You pay dearly for it. A good Mechanic, can do the same job for much less. Often doing a better Job than the Dealers. A lot of the Dealers mechanics are less knowledgeable, sometimes not as thorough. What I can’t stand is the thought of more than one mechanic doing the job, as they punch in and out, picking up where the other left off. It’s a common practice.
