Wow! I’m glad I drive a day cab! And to think I sometimes complain about finding a motel with truck parking.

Yes, but when I was OTR I always slept better in my truck than anywhere else, including home.

Actually I’m kinda spoiled now. Clean private bathroom, coffee maker, cable tv and a free breakfast to boot! And more importantly, no urine smell to greet me in the morning!:)

People underestimate this #### man. Had dpf work one on one of the old trucks. They didn't line up the seal right so when it did a Regen it filled the cab up. I felt like I was dying

Hard to say exactly because every freaking result online for carbon monoxide emissions brings up CO². Diesel does about 20 g/h on electronic engines and 35 on mechanical. While high idle increases that by 150%. Let's say the guy was putting out 35 grams per hour. That's 28 liters of CO per hour, and when it only takes a concentration of 150 - 200 ppm to kill you, it's still a big concern.

We actually had a thing that stuck up thru the floor that was just horrible. You had to move it and flip a button. Was also 3 pedals.
Trucking back in the day was archaic and so horribly tough

I mean, I’ve driven both, and I can definitely say I prefer the automatic. Sorry.
