Relocating in 2-3 years to probably North Carolina: do I have any bulk cryo options out there, a driver just told me there aren’t any Linde plants I could transfer to, so what (if any) are my best options? Home every night is a must…… am I going to have to get out of cryo to be home every night?
If so… what should I expect to gross yearly for the following:
food grade?
Chemical? (Last option before considering dryvan)
fuel?
I expect a paycut…. I’m Just ready to finally leave Cali….
Don’t wanna leave the best driving job I’ve ever had,but bye bye CA.

You may make less money, but you'll spend a lot less to live.
There's a laundry list of reasons people are deserting those high tax, high cost of living states... in droves...
There's lots of opportunity in tankers.
Gas hauling is awesome.
Chemical is everywhere.
While I cannot speak for nc,I can say Tennessee is my home for many reasons.
No state income tax.
Wonderful people
Freedom
No snow
Heniff, Oakley, Indian river, etc, all have lanes here.
Pilot, Gemini, eagle, Jat, speedway, and others are in this area.
Once you determine where you'll settle, we'll be better able to help you.meechyaboy, AramatAz, Speed_Drums and 2 others Thank this. -

im just trying to find out what my options are when I move, as far as “things happening” I KNOW I’m moving out of Cali in 3…. (Trying to convince the wife to make it 2), and I’m 95% sure North Carolina is the destination….(Tennessee is slightly in the running) Plan is to continue to work for a larger company so I expect them to be around in a couple years.austinmike, Gearjammin' Penguin, Numb and 1 other person Thank this. -

I remember you from when you first started in trucking. Changed your avatar from back then.
ibcalm19 Thanks this. -
Circle k is also aggressively expanding in the nc area as well hauling fuel could look into them as well

North Carolina has sales tax, state income tax and annual vehicle inspections. Tennessee borders NC I would check out the towns right across the state line.
Sirscrapntruckalot Thanks this.
