If you're comparing things like flatbeds, reefers, and livestock, what are some things you would consider? How do they compare?
Where would you go to find out more? I don't see a livestock forum on here.
How did you guys choose what trailer you were going to use?

Every segment of this industry has its own BS to deal with. Just got to decide what BS ya like best.

As said before. I'll pedal a hot dog cart if the money is right.
Be diversified and have 2 different trailers. Hook to the one that pays the most for the week.cke, shooter19802003, 77fib77 and 4 others Thank this. -
Learn the freight in your area and the areas you're looking/willing to run. Figure out what typical lanes pay with different types of freight by checking loadbords and talking to other drivers. After you've amassed as much knowledge as possible make an educated guess at what you'll enjoy the most while getting paid as much as you feel your time is worth.

Like everyone I do agree with were saying, go with the flow, learn, conclude and grow, get into what makes you money, so that you can buy the honey)

I'm not sure what the OP is asking. Are you asking what type of freight to haul or what brand of trailer to buy?

Reefer for long haul
dump and flatbed for local, which is seasonal up here in MA
don’t really care what I’m hooked to as long as I can turn a profit
would love to do more with my flat instead of the reefer, but kind of hard to do in this market…snowman1980 and 77fib77 Thank this. -
