I keep getting different answers I've got a 1995 peterbilt 379 with a cummins n14 celect cpl 1844 460hp
spun main bearing.
i can buy a 2000 n14 525 celect plus 185k miles reman engine If I use all my wiring harness & ecm from the celect engine on the celect plus will it work. I know it will not have 525hp but it should have 460hp from my ecm right?
swap n14 celect plus to a n14 celect

According to some websites when they upgraded to the plus they changed the fuel system and ecm to more "sophisticated" system. Which would mean I think you would need the wiring and even from the plus.

so you think i can use all my sensors wiring & ecm and it will work fine
-
From what I'm reading and comprehending it should be fine,
The engines didn't change, just the Celect Plus has J1939 capability vs. yours that doesn't. -
I can find plenty n14 celect plus engines but very few high horsepower celect engines my is a cpl 1844 460hp -
-
It'll work just fine. May or may not use all of the sensors. If not and it throws a code just reflash according to the new cpl
