In my '69 Cougar, you basically had to remove the entire dash. What a stupid place to put the thing

Oh, well that makes perfect sense. After all, your last name does end in a vowel..

Lotsa bogs in Massachusetts, too, down near Cape Cod.

    No gravy enhancement today?

I see the problem here. No "breakfast cake" or "breakfast pie".

As others have said, the core is easy, the "getting to" is the problem.

In mechanic school, my partner and I did one on a 1990-something Mercury. Forget the model, smallish 2 door.

12 hours taking the dash apart to access the core.

    30 seconds to replace it.

9 hours putting it back together, using the shortcuts we learned taking it apart.

Later in life, same repair on a Gillig transit bus:

Open kick panel in front door vestibule.

    Remove clamps and hoses.

    Unbolt and remove core.

Installation is the reverse of removal.

So if any of your neighbors complain that their Gillig has no heat in the front of the bus, you'll know what to do.

No, no, not at all, Pam.

    You're just wonderfully plain-spoken.

Your Dad raised his girls the way I'd have raised a daughter.....skilled, capable and no nonsense. Tough as the region you were raised in.

I enjoy your posts and I'm glad that you're here.......even though you don't like donuts....:D

Someone on Facebook check it for last posting or any update. Some one had stated they had talked with LEO there, but at time did not know name.
With this info, might inquire LEO again for any info (News) on him.
Prediction... He will break at $12.00.. Probably getting his stuff in a go bag in readiness...

That "wash" button. Quite handy accessory. Where did they carry the 5 gallon bucket with the crank roller to squeeze the chamois?

    You're welcome.

I've always loved commercials.....I can remember a lot of old ones from when I was 5 or 6 years old. Not sure why.

I hug Missus Skillet all the time when I'm home. We're a "disgustingly snuggly" couple!
