I don't like Ontario much either but thanks for the heads up. I'm probably too old for this game anyway.
New vaccine mandate coming soon . . .

I just don't understand why sPam feels the need to try and scare off other drivers when it's really not all that difficult of a job.Last edited: Dec 11, 2021

Pam makes logging seem like fukcing neurosurgery cause she's crackin' under pressure .. -
Thats around Kamloops area.
They have no mountains there, just little bumps.
I have watched about 5 episodes of it, we dream about roads that good.
I for one am not concerned at all about someone saying that I am full of BS.
They don't haul where I do.
So they have no clue what I drove on for roads.
A bunch of BC has easy rider roads, and they also make small pay.
Thing is I don't #### on them for driving where they do.
Those who feel a need to #### on me for driving where I do, are not worth worrying about.
I got better things to do, like change my new guitar, wash my hair.

The speed limit on BC Resource Roads is 80km/hr. The number one cause of accidents on the bush roads is speed. As per BCForestSafe.org. 110km/hr on a resource road in NEBC would get you permanently banned.
skipgears Thanks this. -
Been pulled many times, logs, and fuel hauling.
Gone down many hills with the door open in case the only option was to jump because it went very very wrong.
I know drivers who have jumped.
@AModelCat thanks for chiming in.
There are plenty of places in BC that are flat, get barely if any snow, and for those who haul there, they will not understand the whole province is like that.
They also make less, as the dangerous roads pay better, and there actually is a driver shortage, because many refuse to haul on them, which further drives rates up.
But I did mispeak on the $400/hour, some hauls are 400, or even more. But I did the math on this current haul, and its less than $400. To be exact its a low paying haul, just $379.03 hour. This haul is a real cream puff one though, no terrible hills except for the last one up to the landing, roads are not bad, good cycle time so nobody is driving like their hair is on fire. But pay is also down some.
Truck isn't getting beat up as much either though.
Best pay ever seen by me was winter 2016, Takla North end, to Ft St James, I was pulling a borrowed trailer, it was purely offroad, 12' wide bunks, 85000-88000 kgs per trip, and we were making about $460/hour. Of course I got paid terribly, but the truck sure made money. 3 hard months, but we got it done before break up, mill paid us drivers each a $25000 bonus for getting it done before the winter roads thawed.
Crazy winter! -
There's always logging truck roll overs in BC. They typically run overloaded and as Pam mentioned perform 90-degree turns at over 100km/hr, Fraser Valley. Those guys are tad bit too crazy for my style, it's all about making bank with a certain disregard for safety.
Pamela1990 Thanks this. -
My pet peeve is rookies who don't clear loaded trucks properly. Pulling to the side of the road isn't good enough. Roads are sometimes too narrow for 2 trucks at all, but when I am loaded, and moving fast, I run right down the center. I call my kms, get out of my way. If you've messed up and miss the pull out, get on the ####ing radio immediately, and say so so sorry Craptastic I missed my pull out, so i have a km or hopefully 2 or 3 to get slowed down some. A km is a blink of the eye if I am running hard.skipgears Thanks this. -
