I’m not trying to rationalize anything, I’m trying to follow your logic. You’ve said a lot yet failed to answer some things I’ve asked. You’ve basically called me a scumbag salesman because I have the nerve to profit off the current market condition, but I’m sure when the spot market is in your favor that you offer no breaks to the brokers you deal with. And really you should, I’d hate to see you profit too much when you and the broker are in this together. I’m curious where you decide to draw the line. When people no longer have the money to buy trucks then they will stop selling for these prices regardless of there are supply issues or not. I will sell whichever truck I choose for what the market will bear. Oh, I also sold a grain trailer in June for more than I paid for it last May, but I used it a little bit so that profit should be fine then.

Just making money by working hard, and not being good at business, makes no sense.
God doesn't care how you make money, so long as it isn't illegal, or unethical.
So don't become a kidnapper, or drug dealer for example.

I personally have made the bulk of my money, not trucking, and yet I am a truck driver.
My job has made me some, being smart has made me more.

 

My logic is plain and simple it comes from this motto: I shit on speculative salesmen, profits, money and "this is a business" ideology in general. Like I said I am not business minded, never was or will be. That's what I said in my first reflection and also said that it was my own opinion and did not wait for your applause. and I don't give a #### how someone takes it. If that means for you to be called a scumbag salesmen that's your logic which you need to sort out for yourself.

I am not the one wrestling with thoughts here. Things like that were were discussed for as long as the World is old.
Just like he thinks he was called a scumbag salesmen, I might think I am called an idiot.
I said I did not like the prices of trucks to be over 200 000 when you could them 1 year ago for 160 000. It is ugly and will be...again maybe only to me - sorry but I can't help it.
