The CDL is a state license. I know it's federally regulated but it's issued by the state, not the Feds. If it were truly a federal license it would be issued by the USSA government.

    And it ''SHOULD'' be.
1 standard for all CDL holders.

Sorry, I disagree. We have enough Federal overreach into State's issues. There are already tons of "standards" in place. Problem is they aren't adhered to anymore.

The feds can’t run a lemonade stand.
We are a Republic not a country with a centralized government.

    It's OK to disagree.
However , how far do you take the discussion?
Are you saying the constitution shouldn't apply to all people equally?
It's a moot point, but still.

I don't think you understand the very limited role the Constitution legally gives the Federal government. I know tyrant Lincoln and his Socialist 48ers usurped powers not legally available to them but the Founders wrote everything down with clear and concise language. Try reading up on it.

Also look into some of the writings of those framers of the period like the Federalist Papers and Common Sense. Then read Jefferson Davis' book, "The Rise and Fall of The Confederacy". You're in for a shock, my friend. They don't teach this stuff in Yankee schools. Remember the "winner" gets to write the history and silence the "loser" in the process.

Well it should. I don’t think I would be demanding a 110 year sentence for this if it was my loved one that got killed.

Dude wouldn’t make it to court if it were my family, I’d make sure he got life! That’s just my values everything I do is for them, if you take that from me then all rules are off the table, no mercy, no fear, one goal in mind, terminate with extreme prejudice. I’d go shortly after. Kids = innocence that’s my greatest fear drive a truck, slamming into stopped traffic WTF, always a chance baby’s are in that car. I’d drive off the face of the planet first

No. We were. Then the civil war happened, the 10th amendment got used for toilet paper and we now have a federal government that controls everything, including the state government.
Not saying it should be, just saying it is.

You're right, an effective life sentence without parole is not a fair punishment for somebody who killed four people.

Four life sentences served consecutively would be fair.
