When I ran my own plates it was still the company who took care of all that
It was just my plate
I had to go with a company plate when I bought a new truck and the dealer messed up the paperwork but I’m going back to using my own after this yearSpeed_Drums and Bridgestreetblues Thank this. -

Lmao, same here I just got the basic to move it around. Once I sign on, I'll up it to whats required by carrier. Havent actually decided on which carrier yet but I have it down to two. Thanks for the reply.

I always thought IFTA has to be filed by the company you’re leased on to. Since it’s their authority your running under. Plates different since you own the Truck. If your paying either way for the plate, probably better to get your Own. Only difference may depend on the cost. Different States have different primary fees. Might want to compare prices. As far as I know IFTA only applies while running freight. Until your under contract, or when you break a lease. You can drive home, without IFTA. Maybe I’m wrong about IFTA. I don’t think you can get an account without authority.
