Bobcat B250... These things are the #### in tight spaces. 5'4" wide. 11'9" turning radius. 4 wheel drive with articulated steering so it doesn't tear up the turf like a trackhoe. Backhoe slides side-to-side so you can dig two bucket widths without repositioning.

Only problem is, they don't make them anymore. I was pissed when the place I used to rent from sold theirs.

It got to you. I have talked to volunteer fireman after I worked a deadly accident on I 70 near Terra haute. It happened 3 trucks in front of me. It got to me. I did help...... They basically said you show up you make it better and then you leave it. One guy told me he quit, since rural FD is all human injury and only 5% fire fighting. After awhile he couldn't do it.

Found an old auction listing for one. Would be pretty cool, Would work better than the neighbors Kubota.

    https://www.machinerytrader.com/listing/auction-results/201409065/bobcat-b250-loader-backhoes

Just it's about a 50/50 machine for me. Would be great for prepping dirt to build the house, short sighted goal. Longer term goal, to work the property going forward it would need about $5k to $10k in attachments to make it functional for me (post hole digger, trencher, flail mower, tiller, and others ..........). Pretty sure it would get stuck either in the ditches or loose traction going up hills, not seeing much articulation in the axles.

HMMMM maybe I should look for an old jeep with a PTO........ No wait. I need to get rid of car type projects not get another. Now if they made a side by side with a 3 point hitch or a skid steer type arm..........

That's just another reason why we don't see any reason to get involved with that area.
