What gear ratio is generally used for hauling a D11 bulldozer?

    This video is what got me wondering what gear ratio would they generally use in a situation like this.

    Daily occurance out there. Seen so many oversize loads it just became part of the daily drive.

    How much of a difference is it to haul that kind of weight with a tri axle vs non tri axle? In the video I posted they were using a single truck without tri axle to haul the D11. I know in my state of North Carolina, people usetri axlefor even a lot smaller bulldozers.

    They're not really hauling, more or less just pushing/pulling the trailer. The box pinned to the 5th wheel is full of concrete for weight on the drive axles.

    Everyone knows the only way to make money with a truck is to run a 2.something useless gear ratio and a direct drive transmission

    weight laws are going to depend on state as far as axles

    Can you feel the difference any between a tri axle truck or non? I've never even been in a tri axle truck in my life.

    They bind up a little more in the turns but it’s not that different. And the wheelbase will be longer……
