I use that stuff for a lot of things. It is great!
I got introduced to that stuff about 12 years ago when I picked up a show car at Penske shop. They chipped a spot on the front air dam loading it into the little Featherlite and covered it with that stuff. They said That is the real “100 mph Nascar tape”. Gave me a new roll. I still have a little left. Stays were “Duck” duct tape or Gorilla doesn’t.

i ALWAYS cover the stack. i also note on the BOL that the stack was covered and have the coustomer sign for it in additon to the BOL. We had a situation where a new machine was delivered to a dealer, they started having engine problems and codes. the dealer blamed the carrier because the stack was not covered. i carry 3 fabric covers.

If you are ever in a mind an empty pail over it. Or if you have an empty washer fluid jug cut the bottom off and run a bungie cord around the handle.

We cover our own equipment too, but with the new equipment and all the emission stuff it is highly improbable that leaving one uncovered would cause an issue. Still, it only takes a minute to cover them and remove all doubt.

I've heard it both ways...cover the stack or don't. We always do. It takes less time to cover the stack than it does to explain to some grouchy customer why you didn't.

although i agree, ever since the situation with the dealer, i do it and make them sign in order to protect my self and my company. this way i have eliminated all possible finger pointing. most places are really good about it, but i dont leave it to chance.

this can be compared similarly to picking up equipment from an auction. it doesnt matter what auction house. I ALWAYS TAKE PHOTOS. far to many times have it had to deal with the "it didnt look like this in the pictures" or the "i didnt know that when i bought it" . If you buy a used tractor from an auction its bound to have scratches on it sir.

The one that puzzles me is some places dont like you using a window cover. Like one over the windshield. I have a padded one that i use on anything that has a large window that is pointed forward. some places have a serious fit over it. it could scratch the paint. well a can of touch up paint is a lot cheaper then a window on a tractor or combine......
