A funny thing happened on the way to NC for my 99.

For the first time I've followed a routing exactly. Had to run thru DC and Baltimore during rush hour, no way to avoid it. Got down to 1/8 fuel and mac 17'd. When I got close to the emergency fuel stop there were no mile markers and no exit numbers. While searching the tanks went dry :( At least it was a balmy 24deg outside.

At least the local law enforcement officer was friendly. Just as friendly as the NYPD that were nice enough to escort me out of their precient after I declined the offer of a local citizen to ram their car into the concrete barrier on the Long Island Unexpressway forcing me onto a parkway offramp. That took 40 minutes of phonecalls to NY State Police, 311, NYPD 114th Precient and 911, which wwere all unable to tell me if I would not hit one of their bridges if I continued to a certain street so I could escape Mr Toads Wild Ride.

    So...
    1. I am supposed to be in SoCal today
    2. 10 hours to go 400 miles in the mid Atlantic region isn't enough.
    3. Go back to my creative interpretations of fuel routing.

1bad is sitting in the middle of what he said is a blizzard in Indy. From what they are saying on the weather channel I think he is right. Sent me a video looks pretty bad to me. Looks like this load will be late.

Here they are now saying just a 1/2 in of snow later today. Only problem is when they say a little we usually get snowed in for days on end. So we will see. If I'm not on for a few days we lost power (almost always happens in the snow). So ya'll stay safe looks like almost everyone is going to be dealing with this crap!

Well I was bored flipping thru the trucker magazines at the truck stops. There is a one page add in one of the magazines for Arrow Trucking wishing everyone happy holidays and letting everyone know that they r looking for company and O/O drivers for their Flatbed fleets. Good pay and benefits!!!!

Anyone else find something strangly weird about this ad but I can't quite put my finger on it;)

Any who. I'm pulling a 34 at the TA in JanisvilleN WI with some HAZ on the truck. And ya know what's BS Central doesn't pay more for hauling HAZ. BS!!!!

Aight yall run hard, stay safe, and the white stuff is fallen!

    Don't do it!!!!!!!!
Don't forget you are an independent contractor, so you don't get the cheaper medical with Central and you also have to pay quarterly taxes.

Your truck has to be broken down for 24 hrs before they pay breakdown pay, you will have to beg for your breakdown pay and show motel receipts to get it.

No layover pay for Lease Ops either, YOU ARE JUST A GLORIFIED COMPANY DRIVER!!!

We have leased for almost 2 years and unless you train or your wife/GF drives as well you will not do that great, Most Central FMs have no idea how to run a team, you would be better doing your year and getting out.

I have to agree there are better paying Lease programs out there!

    Nice trick with the Icon:biggrin_2559:

    Arrow suck worse then Central.

When you coming to Idaho to get muh coffee?

Maybe his trainer did bury him in the desert?

I guess I'll just sit here in Greensboro NC waiting for customer service to do their job and reschedule my appointment. I only asked 3 or 4 times. 22 more hours and I'll I have a reset.

I heard there's this place out west called California. It has beaches, mountains, desert... I wonder if I'll ever get out there?

Oh great... the armadillo is complaining about something, have to go see what that's all about.

Well I hope he gets out all right. I'm sitting near Columbus, OH and I've been talking to drivers all day and they've been saying the 70W in Indy is closed down because of 6 jack-knifed trucks. No thank you! Central doesn't pay me enough to chain so I'll sit. I'd rather chase a storm and drive through the aftermath than be driving while it's hitting.
Hope all is well and everyone stays safe out there.

Hahaha....yea what a winter it's been! And it's only, what, two weeks into winter "technically?" It'll be fun. They've been doing a good job at keeping me over on the east coast. I'd rather take snow and ice in flatland than over there in the rockies. I can tell you that MO is NOT pretty right now. The storm hitting me in OH right now originated in MO and they got DUMPED on. Hopefully by the time you get there it'll be thawed out. Good luck and be safe!
