Man I don't get that!! I know that Knight has a lot of CS on certain things (see THEIR Sitting Duck policy, like no one elses!), and they can nail drivers on equipmnt damage if not logged on sign in/out sheets, usually if you have a good history there, they don't mess with you. Maybe they saw you as potentially not what they wanted (Liability?).

that's possible. I was treated pretty good with them and had miles. had a old truck and was told in 3 weeks I was to be given an 07. They did keep their word in 3 weeks I returned to the indianapolis terminal and was issued an 07. Nice truck and was very proud. But don't know why they would put a scratch trailer against me. No claim was made, only by me telling them what happened. Guess being new I though I made the right decision. Maybe I should have said nothing about it.

Think they made have used you as an example---they do that! Like I said there are certain things they do there that are CS! The 'Trailer Interchange' form in the bulkheads is CS! Nobody fills them out (who has time, sometimes I carry 4 trlrs/day)---but can use against you if damage and you are under w/o that Interchanage documenting the previous damage. If they did that to me, I WOULD QUIT!! If that was the case, I'm with you!!

So how is it their fault you did damage to the truck.
They are NOT a training company.

What I wonder is, something had to of put a scratch on that trailer...what was it? Maybe they weren't concerned of their property but of someone else's property. See what I'am saying?

I had my trainer (who had driven for 34 yrs, all kinds ops) tell me this: "I have driven for 34 yrs and have a clean DAC." I asked, you never 'tapped' a trailer (alot of yds have trlrs side-to-side, even laying on each other in unlit areas at night) or ANYTHING?!! He replied," I just said that I have a clean DAC," and smiled widely!!! Don't want to 'tap' a trailer (for sure not an independent's self-owned, shiny reefer!!) and have winesses around...! Anybody that wants to give a 'noble' reponse, never drove the U.S./Mex border---no such thing as a paved yd!! (rocks, sticks, sand, mud, glass, holes, pallet pieces (w.nails), etc with trlrs jammed in all difff ways)!
I ALSO have a clean DAC !![IMG]

yes it was my fault, no one was doing it but me. But my question was where are the decent companies that overlook bull crap like that. Knight has ruined me from ever driving again. I'm new give us new ones a break. It isn't like I totaled the tractor, wrecked it, left a load or better yet just left the tractor sit. Like I know alot of drivers do.

White Horse, you made some good points. I know where you stand at Knight Express. I was with them less than a month. And Thanks to them and a couple of mistakes of my own. I have been unemployed since sept 23 2006. I do work at a gas station, but am having problems getting back on the road again. Knight said I was a safety issue and let me go. Most companies would have put you with a trainer(which they don't have) or a senior driver for a few weeks (which they don't do) But what really got me was they told me to get a years experience and come back. I have tried over 60 companies and can't get hired. Just about gave up on driving. Thanks to Knight I may never be in a truck again. Good Luck in whatever situation your put in.

What companies? I've tried over 60 and have pretty much given up until winter goes away.
