well i went to c-1 and graduated from there. i was very suprised about the yard. its all like underpavement. when its wet its slick like ice and sucks.
the teachers were cool . some more helpful then others but over all a good view on them. the trucks are used hard and put away wet. now dont get me wrong i have driving exp. i drove wreckers and such before but just on a permit. i am a wrecker driver at heart but i wanted to see the other side of the coin. so i am going otr for a year and ck it out.

sorry for ranting. back to c-1 fort worth
over all a good experience for someone with a little exp with bigger trucks. but i think they should have alot more on the road time for ppl with lil to no exp. i only got 5.75 hours on the road before i tested. the push you to test quickly to get you out. now i wish i would have not tested so soon so i could get more drive time. but to late now im thru with the school.
i recomend that anyone getting in to a training school wait as long as they can and get as much drive time before you take your driving test. once you pass they just leave you at the yard and your stuck there till the end.
    good luck and be safe..
    slow down and stay awake
speed kills not just you but someones loved ones.

I worked there one day as an instructor and quit. Didn't like anything about the school as it was just one more CDL mill in an ocean of them.

I am driving on a medical waver so when it comes to jobs, I don't have the luxury of nit picking who I am allowed to work for. So I have had to scrape the bottom of the barrel since 1988. So yes, I have had to drive for the risky companies and a few of them I helped build from an empty warehouse and parking lot.

Not that is any of your business, but I have a neurological disorder that I am required to take 1500 mg of Keppra a day. One more seizure and I am no longer a trucker and I have carried this burden for 21 years now. If you have good health, be thankful for it. One day you may lose it and become unemployable as I may soon be.

Now, do you feel better about yourself?
