I have seen more headache and heartburn caused from just wanting to upgrade to a better or stronger design while I’m in there thinking. My thoughts are unless you have the experience and a proven build sheet go back like it is. It’s obviously not a bad design or it wouldn’t have the miles run time that it has. Building a motor isn’t hard but it’s not exactly something you just do. Not something internet advice or a phone call can get you through. I have seen inexperienced people do it and it worked out. But that’s rare, most times that cost way more before it’s over. Finding the right guy isn’t easy either so do plenty of homeworkFlint1, Diesel Dave, rankd1 and 2 others Thank this. -

I just made the second and final wire transfer on my new 12.7 on Friday. I had to add jakes since mine doesn’t have them. New ECM. Two piece valve cover. Extra fee for a dissimilar core exchange. They will paint any color. Their FB page has lots of pictures. They couldn’t install due to short on mechanics so I’m having it shipped to a local shop.

Installation prices may vary. Every shop I called said $5000 plus parts. So It depends what extra you have done. I’m going full bore due to age and neglect of my current truck. I am ordering most of the extras myself.Speed_Drums, nikmirbre, Eldiablo and 1 other person Thank this. -
Speed_Drums Thanks this.
