Buying an R title truck, what should I watch for?

    Looking at buying an R title truck, what do I need to watch for when I go look at it? Anyone else buy one how did it go?

    Even IF the repairs were well done and minor, just having the R title means you could be stuck with it as the re-sale value is affected by the reconstructed title.

    Most lending institutions don't want to loan money on a truck with a R title. For a number of good reasons

    That’s what I’m afraid of.


    I never even thought about that. I bought a brand new international in June but every time something happened it was weeks wait for parts and some things they couldn’t get at all, I got tired of that so I sold it, started looking for an older no def truck so if I have to wait for parts I’m not making as high of a payment.
