Any drivers close to Dunn, NC? Would love to hear from someone local. Maybe buy you the old proverbial "coffee or coke".
Any NC TMC drivers?

I'm from Clinton but probably won't be home until the 1st weekend in March. I usually stay out 3 to 4 weeks at a time. If you have any questions, please ask...Myself or others on this board would be happy to answer your questions....

Hey Wolfpack thanks for the reply. I was curious how many miles have you been getting and are you out that long because you choose to be or mandated to be? Would you recommend TMC? If you dont wanna answer here i'd be glad to buy ya breakfast or something when your in town or you can just pm the answers. I cant reply yet, not enough posts. Thanks in advance.

Hello all. I would also like to hear from some of the local TMC drivers. I live in Sanford. I will be retiring from the military in about a year and have been researching my next career of being a professional driver. This is something I wanted to do since I was small. Any advice you can provide will be great. I will be attending drivers training in a couple of months. Thanks all and be safe.

my 2 cents...
I work a job for money for my family, if I can find a way to beat the system to my advantage (ie: drive longer hours, more miles a day = more money in my pocket) then im gonna do it. You CAN beat the system at TMC... Im not gonna tell you how in this post. If you wanna know, you gotta ask...
I started with TMC 4/08. I was trained at the now closed SC facility and had a great time. My trainer was a HUGE piece of you know what! He lived out side of Knoxville TN and no longer trains but still hauls for them. A real CB rambo kinda guy.
After I got out of his truck and put in my own, I had a great time. Rates were great back then and I would clear after take outs and ins $800 - $1000 a week. Not bad for me, YMMV. Things went fine day in a day out, rates were dropping a little here and there, harder and harder to get home on weekends, all signs that pointed to the trucking industry is changing. As the industry changed TMC had to change to stay competitive and profitable. Alot of people complain on here bout this and that, that "X,Y and Z was all I could take, I had to quit!" and that is good for them. Dont stay somewhere that you cant stand.
Last July my father passed away unexpectedly... hardest thing i have had to go thru in my 30 years on this planet. So after that it was either put my mother in a home or move me and my wife n kids back home to the family farm and take care of my mom n our property. I gave my 2 week notice with TMC and that was that. All in all, I think they are a good company to learn how to truck, to get your feet wet as it were.
If you are a go with the flow kinda person, trucking may be for you. If you need a dependable schedule day in and day out.... D O N T drive for TMC.
Again, just my 2 cents.
