How do you figure you can win when all your safety violations are on record ? You don't violate regulations then go running to safety and say "Look what he made me do !" You're being set up and somebody else has an ace up their sleeve .
My wife and I are finally going to training for C. R. England

That's why we're getting off the truck, but from here on out, we're not fresh faced newbies in dealing with this guy, if it's a violation or unsafe I'll pull over and tell him to drive. Before it's said and done my record will be kept clean. He can't force me. I've talked to a lot of people at England and from here forward he's not going to tell or yell or intimidate, it's not worth our career, or our lives. We had been told things opposite of this coming onto this truck, we're here now, and we're learning. You all know there's a learning curve in this industry. We're just trying to get ahead of it at this point with a trainer that's not even teaching us how to not get a log violation. We're having to talk to other truckers in truck stops to get enough of an education to get ahead of the curve and win the ball game so to speak.
We're not going to let this guy screw us up, that's what it comes down to. -
I might just make a fortune training newbies if this is as easy at is sounds... buy a couple trucks tell newbies to pay the bills, sit in back play video games...
THATS THE LIFE -
. Now instead of somebody telling you to drive an unsafe truck you're going to tell somebody else to drive it - all verified by Qualcomm , of course .

I can't win with you folks can I? I tell you I'm coming to england and you rip on me for that, I agree with what you say and add my voice to the choir, and you rip on me for that. I'll post updates from here on out but don't expect me to play this little game. Like I said we're on a learning curve, with neither of us having even driven a stick, give us a break, we're still learning, we didn't have all you lovely millions of miler's in the school with us helping us out, now did we? Nor are you on this truck trying to help us out, you're on a board, telling us how screwed we are no matter what, give us a break. We'll get there, if you want us to or not. We will get there.

As long as you do not lease, you are not completely lost.
-
What happens if you go there for training, get your cdl and leave before phase 1? will they whack your dac?
-
According to what I've been told your contract with CRE is for the 106 days, 16 days for school to get the cdl, 30 days for phase 1, and up to 60 days for phase 2, if at that point you don't want to lease you are just let go. They can't do anything to your dac. Supposedly if you leave before then (I don't know because I haven't done this so this is all conjecture at this point) They file against you for breach of contract, and other such b/s. Rumor has it they'll even file you as abandoning a load if you do that. So if you go to the CRE school you're pretty much stuck for about 1/3rd of a year, this doesn't count extensions, IE a 2-3 week wait from school to phase 1, another 2 days after phase 1 for upgrade, then another 2-3 week wait for phase 2, all in all you probably end up sticking around for almost 6 months I would guess.
AfterShock Thanks this. -
Not to beat a dead horse, but don't go to CRE, there are lots of companies that will train you, and if you're willing to get a loan, you can always go to a school that offers life time job placement if your class A CDL is kept in good standing, that's your best bet, because you can drop the load you're on, and tell them to sit and spin, call the school and get a new job, I should have done that, but we could only get one loan, so I would have gone and my wife would have been stuck at home, while I was on the road.
We didn't want that, we wanted to go together, and CRE was the only company that would give us in writing that we wouldn't be split up during any part of the training for more than 12 hours or so.AfterShock Thanks this. -
Yea, go to one of CREs brothers companies and see how long you last. you will get the same crap as you do at CRE. Then you say central refrigerated, ownd by Jerry Moyes of Swift, just has his daughter running it, but oh well, you knock everyone on here for trying to tell you what you have already found out, good job. And you have a great lawyer who will take care of the dac problem, but can he take care of the phone calls your prospective employer will make to CRE and get the same bullcr@p as your dac. Your in for one lovely time with CRE, and when you turn your truck in they will find any small scratch or dent and then bill you for $5,000 dollars, you better wake up, CRE can and will ruin you anyway they can. good luck.
AfterShock and notarps4me Thank this.
