Just because you've been lucky. Doesn't mean you're doing it right. I gave you a perfect example of someone who had a perfect safety record. Right up to the point where he killed a family of 4. Just because you've not tripped the nanny system and been lucky not to be in an accident. Just means your number hasn't come up yet. Ask the perfect safety record driver. That I told you about. When he gets out of jail in 6 years.

Based on the criteria you listed for qualifying. I could be a trainer there. But I for sure know that I am not qualified to be a good trainer.

Most companies let anyone with those qualities and 9 months driving be a trainer. 90% of them shouldn't be.

Again. Maybe you are a great driver out there. But frankly your lack of knowledge after 7 years. Truly and honestly scares me. I want to say again. I'm not being condescending or snarky. I'm being dead honest.

 

Nobody knows what they don't know until they know it. Never feel bad for learning something. Just ALWAYS be ready to learn.

 

His view is commendable under normal circumstances. However your questions of late are day-one stuff. Not year-seven stuff. Things you learn dinking around in a parking lot while you're learning how to drive. Not after 1,000,000 miles. I'm glad you finally got it figured out, but after your last two threads, it makes me wonder what ELSE you don't know, and how many drivers like you are out there. *shudder*

Everybody was new once, and everybody had to learn. I get that. But you're not new. You don't fall into that category, and you don't get to use that excuse. "Learning something new everyday" is not the same as going seven years and still not having a grasp on the basics.

 

When Timmy was 3, Grandpa bought Timmy a little red wagon that had about an 18 inch wheelbase. When Timmy turned six, Grandpa bought him a bigger little red wagon with a 3-foot wheelbase. It took Timmy about two days to learn that he had to swing his new wagon a little bit wider when he took the turn out the gate.

 

I agree. Which category did you fall in for six years and 364 days?
