I've never loaded anything out of Laredo that I would consider quick. Usually show up and there are 20 guys in front of me, lined up down the road (literally).

We were the only ones there loading today. Usually that place is pretty busy, but I've never been there more than a couple hrs.

I do the same, but then toss a couple straps over the top....because why not.

Gees, must be nice. I have never had that happen in that town......ever. last load out of there I was there and checked in at 0900 and didn't get loaded unit 1900! Got loaded, pulled straight out the gate and parked on the road, not 50ft from the gate! Usually I'm the only guy that is English as a first language. Never had an issue though, most guys have been pretty decent.....just a long wait.

When I use to haul them on my hotshot I would run one chain on each end and 2 straps up top.

I only loaded once in Laredo and it was a Freight shaker cab going to San Antonio and it took a while. When I had a hotshot I delivered there quite a bit and it always took forever.A lot of those workers come in from Mexico and go back in the evening legally of course.

Ive hauled many cans chained like that. like @shooter19802003 said, throw a couple straps over the top. put a twist in the strap and roll.

Ive been meaning to ask you and maybe you have already answered this but , what tool do you use to feed your chains thru the center of the reels?

Securing containers can be done a few ways. If you have locks, thats one. The next is like what you have, two chains across front/back and straps over top. 1 strap for each 10 feet of container.

I have seen others place a chain in the top corner and pull down, sometimes it’s straight, others do an X on the ends, and some will pull down to the middle of the can, like a V.
The thing is, doing this method, only provides down force, except the V style, they are down and pull against each other. Still need straps and blocking for forward/backward.
