Best first day ever.

 

Wasn’t just me. A few fine folks here contributed answers to his questions.

 

In my former career of accounting and auditing, we would issue all bonuses via paper check too. The reason was that many didn’t tell their significant others about the bonus and they could do what they wanted with their bonus.

I assume the same is true here.

 

Update: Sunday night finally called EMS to help me out. I suspected severe dehydration on top of flu like symptoms. They came gave me a bag of fluids and took me to ER. Tested positive for Covid, they gave me two Tylenol and some Gatorade and arraigned transport back to my truck. (That was nice of them)

Truck was then acting up with regen issues. Night dispatch tried to help but we opted to call the shop in the morning. Spoke to our awesome team in breakdown told me to drive it down the road to warm the engine up as that’s a factor or something. Still won’t regen. And engine is getting grumpy about me ignoring it.

They were going to send me to a Dealer to get it fixed until they learned I was Covid positive and they said dealer wouldn’t touch my truck or want me in their shop. True.

so at least I got moved to a FJ nearby and able to stock up on water and Gatorade to go back into quarantine until this passes.

I hate taking 34 reset OTR just laying around wasting time blah blah blah… this is now six days of being sick trapped in an 8x8 box. I’m going crazy.

yesterday they offered to send me home but that’s a two day drive under normal conditions. Oh, and this grumpy truck would not allow it anyway.

being sick OTR has always been my primary concern for me and boy I can say this sucks.

makes me start thinking about other options in life. But that will probably change back once I’m healthy and driving again.

ya, when I get sick I whine. Sorry.

I wasant getting the messages. Yeah I'll be in next week gonna rent a car from Waukesha WI to get there waiting for the drug test to get back he doesent want to schudule till it comes back. I think he said it was a holiday inn ? It will be early next week sometime. Did the on the video finished that and did the dot physical today.

 

Yep Holiday Inn. Bring your swim trunks. Also they have a great breakfast

 

Thanks motocross. What time did you get out of there the one day class?

 

2:30 I was done and I was fueled and out the gate by like 3. It’s cake dude. I will say however I got lucky in that I was the only one there in orientation, and I had used Qualcomm before and am familiar with it so those 2 aspects sped things up. Like you I did my pre orientation online so they had everything they needed already. OH! Bring your long form from your DOT physical, they do need a copy of that. And 2 ids. I had my social security card on me luckily.

 

Ok thanks motorcross. I'll keep that in mind . So to get from the hotel to the yard does the hotel drive you there or does someone from Fremont pick you up? I'm assuming I'm taking my stuff from the hotel right away or did you come back to the hotel with you truck?
