I know ATDS here in Texas offers refresher courses. You will have to call them for a price>> http://www.truckingschool.com/
Hope that helps ya......

Thanks RookieTrucker for you help, Hmmm I'm scared to ask the price hahaha I think the only ones making money is the trucking schools, we should open one up. Jerseycowboy

I see their trucks here all the time. Because I live across the street from the DOT office. So I called them at one point and had asked them about a refresher course. I want to say it was about $8-900 but don't hold me to that quote. The way times change with rapid inflation, it might be double that by now. It does not hurt to call and ask questions. I remember them saying, they will help in job placement if you do go that route. Which might make it a plus to use them.

The school that I went to offers a refresher course, but I don't know if it is available to students who didn't not attend their regular course. As far as price, if I need a refresher course within 6 months of graduating, it's free, otherwise I think it is about $400.
I'm assuming that you went to a school, as most newbies in our position have. Doesn't your school offer a refresher course? -
I went to CRENGLAND PREMIER Truck Driving training then did my 4 weeks with them, but had to quit because my Mother was ill. I don't remember if they even gave me a certificate from the school or not. I know they gave me something. I have not been there for about 1 1/2 year now -
If you have not been in a truck for a year an a half.. I figure most companies will want a refresher or maybe even a full class..
I have drove over 10 years.. but that was 15 years ago.. I have to do the whole school thing.. lol -
Yes Red Eye,
I think these trucking companies and school are all in kahoots with each other. The trucking companys make more money with the schools then the actual freight they run. Think about it, 3,000 students a year at about 3,000 each you figure it out 900,000 if they have 8,000 you figure it out 2.4 mil besides interest. It is a scam. all a person needs is to get back on the road with a trainer for a few weeks, They make like you have to be a rocket scientist to drive, look at some of the people who are driving? come on! OVERWEIGHT, HANDICAPED, MEDICAL ISSUES etc..... it is a scam I'm very surprised that they get away with it myself. They must all have there hand in the cookie jar. -
england does have a refresher coarse, it is around $1,000. I only know this because if you try to go there after going to another school with no exp. they make you go through it. I chuckled at the lady on the phone, & told her I am not paying them to come to work for them, & told her to have a nice day. & I went through a 160 hour coarse
