March and April are usually slow, probably will start picking up in May. I've been told by my buddy that works at UPS, that they're slow too.

I will try to raise my prices anyway with the shipper. Prices are up for everything. Maintenance costs along with the fuel.
I didn't raise my rate for the whole year with the shipper. I have to make up for costs.

Love it. Now when Y'all see me coming up the rear, get the hell outta my way please. I get better fuel mileage with this hood than I did with my aerodynamic truck FYI

So who knows what's going to happen?

But unprecedented inflation, skyrocketing cost of everything, fuel prices climbing by the day, a dictator taking over at least another country but most likely more, instability in the world...

Like I said who knows what's going to happen but it's seriously not looking good.

Eventually consumers are going to spend less and if that happens in time with the supply chain leveling out everybody is screwed.

Everyone will just be trying to make enough money to survive and we'll all forget about thriving for a while.

I’m running a 35 year old truck with a set of spicers and a B model cat. Been averaging just about 6mpg sometimes less depending on terrain and load, about 6 across the 1/4 average though. Haven’t seen rates crashing at all. Like 1 guy said do what nobody wants to. I’m truly happy with the numbers I been pulling. I think outside the box and work for my numbers, I love it though. I pull my ramps out more often then most, I’m young though I can deal with it.

Right now isn't the problem. If you can't make money right now there's something wrong.

But the storm is brewing and you can see it coming if you look for it.

Yep. It's not looking good. The war in Ukraine isn't ending any time soon.
I haven't been getting rich since I didn't chase $$$ when rates were high. I don't have reserves. I work for regular customers. Paid me less, but now I feel I might just survive. Hopefully, they won't leave me now. They didn't leave me when it crashed in 2020.
But maintenance is eating me for the last year or so. I don't know if I will survive maintenance costs. It was eating me way too much.
