Any banding makes me paranoid. Especially the way they're stacked. With my straps already providing downforce, I picture a good pothole causing the whole stack to just collapse all over the road. No thanks, lol. I'll add my own "banding".

I used to get an occasional pallet of buckets (usually bolts) and would just lay another pallet over the top and strap over that but can't imagine doing it to an entire load...
Like @D.Tibbitt I've used pieces of dunnage too. Years ago, we used to pick up "shot" (abrasive material) Came in 55 gal. drums weighing a ton each. Would use 4x4 sticks over the top of them...with mixed results...

Made me think of this load from about 5 years ago…I flatbedded for 35 years and have only tarped maybe a dozen times. Picked up this ugly machine in Jersey and they wanted it covered…
I sent a picture of this to a friend complaining that I hate tarps…he replied, “that’s not a tarp it’s a pool cover”

If you want a 2016 Reitnouer Maxmiser let me know. I’m considering selling mine, it’s had so little use it still has the tires it came with from the factory.
