That 63,000 is equivalent to 216,000 today.

Volvo has Airbags? Really? Like it pops out of the steering wheel and curtain side...etc?
What I'm getting at here is the things that do the most mileage per year have pretty much no safety features at all. How much attention are paid to car safety?.....a crap ton. How many miles a year does your avg motorist do a year? I'm guessing about 1/5th what we do in a truck. So, is it really about safety or something else.

Plenty of banks have gone under. Washington Mutual 2008.

    Now answer my question.

which federal program guarantees commercial loans?

That's the point.....2008. What has happened dozens of times since then? BAILOUTS! That my friend is what guarantees loans. Commercial or otherwise.
Not to mention alot of truck loans aren't Commercial, they're personal loans.

once again not all banks got bail outs. FDIC (federal program) kicked in and shut WaMu down and other banks as well.

but my question still stands and you have yet to answer it.

I personally don't track it by gallons but so far this year on 15556 miles I've spent $476.49 on DEF.

Typically a full tank of DEF should last full tanks of fuel but I never let either get down that low.

Last year I spent a total of $3040.00 on DEF. That's certainly not a ton of money but surely could think of lots of other stuff that I would rather spend that money on, LOL.

Just spent $3000 in January on a DEF tank level sensor and wiring harness for it. All this "clean air" emission BS expenses sure does add up over time.

I did answer it. All the banks left now are "too big to fail". That's why there is easy credit with zero down. Because the banks don't care. They know uncle Sam is gonna be right there.

You can tell who the "real" banks are that are left. They ask for a sizeable chunk down and have higher rates than those backed by Freddy and Fannie. 2 of my banks are such institutions. One of them actually votes on all loan approvals.

So it's kinda 1:1.....more or less.
My buddy had a tank sensor go out twice this year. Apparently it's a thing. Wasn't there some kind of shortage on those?

Ya, supposedly the dealers have a way to temporarily bypass that sensor. Peterbilt got mine in 3 days so wasn't a horrible wait but still 3 days of loss revenue.

I wish gliders were still a thing. I want a new truck, but I don't want new truck problems. Atleast I can work on mine.
