I had an interesting afternoon with the Army guy Keri is dating. Nice guy. He is the son of a trucker. Was talking about going out with his father much as I did in the 60s with mine. Yes, I can reveal they are dating. Nothing serious yet. I want her to be happy. This guy is Airborne. Right now assigned to TRADOC over at Ft Eustis. He will be going back to Ft Campbell in 2023. Been in about 15 years and is planning to go full career. Yes, I know I will lose Keri before long, but I always knew her living here was temporary. I am surprised I am not sad now. I guess I am enjoying seeing her eyes sparkle. After he left she sit beside me and snuggled under my arm. Told me how much she loved me. Then got up put her headphones on and started listening to that godawful noise she likes as she went into the kitchen to start dinner!

I still love that fact that a pirate and his "crew" used their cannons and muskets, ect. . Gave up powder and ball to other people to help win it. John Laffite. There is bar in the French quarter that is supposed to have been his spot.

The British screwed up too, at a technical level. They probably wouldn't have won any way.

Bunch of good music, I'm surprised that Charlie Daniel's and Hank haven't come up.

My truck isn't free yet. By tomorrow it will be. I didn't go the winch route. I'm using bottle jacks I have two. I need a third. I have two 2" x 10" x 1.5 feet. Boards underneath the left steer. I need one more then it will be level with the ground and should pull out. Fricking super singles are just packed to the top with mid and super slick. Worthless tire/ tread design for this situation.

It I hit the power divider, should all 4 tires spin together or just one on each axle? That might be the problem.

One tire on each axle with the power divider locked. Unless your truck has full lockers, which is probably unlikely.

I was thinking about the day I visited the place where Jim Reeves is buried in Texas. I thought of this song and turned up the volume! Keri said she had never heard of the song or for that matter Jim reeves. I told her he died in a plane crash after flying into a thunderstorm.

I was once asked if I could go back in time just for an evening when and where would you go? Oh, this is an easy question to answer. Sometime in the early 1960s when these two were on stage at the Opry. My father told me many times of the nights he listened to the Opry and both of these ladies were singing!
