That’s the way it was in NC where my girlfriend lived. She was shocked at how little services we get up here for more taxes.

She'll be fine, taking a little time to get acclimated to her new digs

We are old school judge, maybe too old.. I once hauled a load of shrubbery from Columbus, MS to Kroger in Cincinnati. Man dropped a stack of pallets and whipped out his pencil and prepared to receive. He said: Give me 20 of those Juniper Pfitzer. I pointed out I drove from up front, I did not unload from the rear (or side). He would reject. We agreed on cause was driver refused to unload. He wrote it on the bill and went in his office. I eased the paper into his time clock for reference, closed up, pulled out, called in, had a good chuckle with the boss, got instructs to take it from Zinnzinatti over to Deetroit. Tooled on over, got unloaded before the tires got cool, collected over 8K cash for load and trucking, and headed home. Still get a warm feeling when I remember it. 22 years old, over $50 in my pocket and bulletproof from any halfazzed dock foremen.

Spiffy. Texaco's 'Ethyl" is not as dangerous as wearing one of Beneke's "Tuffy" jackets into some places.
Shorty Moore and Edgar Barnett, Edgar is the short one. Pic of the jacket. upload_2022-3-14_19-31-12.jpeg

Thanks... Only took me a couple hours today. I took today off to stay home with the boys while my wife went to town, so I figured I would knock it out.

You ever consider hiring a driver; starting there, and doing your dispatching on your cell phone while the incoming drivers were pulling your samples?
Really work sorry and over overtime. Be hard on your nerves t "fit in", but the coin sounds enticing.
Look over the posts on here. Can probably find some "truck driver" who dabbles in leather, fix you right up.
There is one though, that is wham bam dam good and is being sought for custom work steadily. He is busy enough.
