Hey guys, got an acceptance letter from Millis. I have been looking for a
while and had finally narrowed my choices to either Millis or Roehl. I think
Millis is the better choice. Still have an app pending with Stevens, but I
may past because there is way to much cost and financing that will come
from accepting with Stevens. I hope Millis opens the Cartersville school as
its right in my back yard. Do any current Millis drivers take their trucks
home when on hometime? How much is a DOT physical in Georgia? Am
I making the right choice? Wish me luck.

I just received my e-mail confirmation of acceptance yesterday also! I have chosen millis after searching for quiet sometime on the best starting company for rookies and I have decided with living in illinois this company would be the best for me. Congradulations to you and I am planing on calling monday morning to get my class scheduled! I will be attending trenton ohio school hope to see you there!

I think they use to have there on message board. The drivers on there seemed to be happy. Remember this is a business. The purpose of business is to make money. Sometimes the drivers have to take it in the kiester for the almighty $. Stay flexable. This is just the way it is. When I went to Savannah Tech I had to pay $65 for my physical and drug test. That was 3 years ago

Hey Smalltown. I don't know if I will be in the Ohio location. I am hoping the Cartersville
school will be my choice. If know Cartersville than I might have to drive down to Ohio.
Is the physical done at a DOT office or will I have to locate a doctor that does DOT
physicals. -
You can go to any doctor that does DOT physicals.
When I drove for Millis, you took a truck and trailer home with you.

You mentioned you took a truck and trailer with you. Was there not a place
you could store the trailer. I hope there is a yard in Georgia where I can
drop a trailer and just bobtail home. Can't fit a trailer down our streets. -
Where in GA? And Millis will probably have a Dr for your physical. You should already know that. Probably to late but here is a list of questions to ask prospective employers. http://www.ooida.com/Education&BusinessTools/Resources/Interviewing_the_Inter_CD.shtml

you need t ask alot of questions!
-
Yep.This is more than just applying to any company that will take you. There is absolutely no sense in wasting theirs and your time if they have a criteria you can not live with. As that list states there may be more or less questions to each individuals list.It is just a starting point.
