When your clock stops, you stop.
Dino soar and aeros trucking Thank this. -
You must obey the Elog. That's happened to me hundreds of times. I stop for a 10 and don't sleep even for a minute during the 10 hour break. That's a demon many of us have.
nredfor88, Dino soar, Malt Ball Cult and 7 others Thank this. -
Technically you can, legally you can't. Your choice.
Dino soar, bryan21384, Coffey and 1 other person Thank this. -
You have to follow HOS rules. Don't worry, eventually you'll get enough sleepless 10 hour breaks to make you sleep like a rock.
Dino soar, alds, Lumper Humper and 1 other person Thank this. -

It's my BIGGEST pet peeve of this modern occupation that is referred to as "trucking" today. You can't blow a fart without the gubment knowing about it. There was a time,,,MY TIME, when you'd run until you couldn't, half hour nap,,a couple hour nap at most, a thermos of coffee and a bag of jellybeans, and away I went. My bosses always said, "you can get your hours real close with a paper log",,,meaning, do what you have to do to get the job done,,,or we'll find someone that will. Fast forward to today, with "Big Brother" watching you while you sleep, if you want to do trucking, best to do it by the book today. I couldn't and got out.
Coffey, Badmon and aeros trucking Thank this. -
