hire a lawyer
my guess is the trooper won’t even show up for the court date , and it would be dismissed , but hire a lawyer always always always , for every moving violation .
that ticket will follow you around for seven years or more .
A decent lawyer can make that ticket disappear easily.Mototom and CorsairFanboy Thank this. -
I drove in the ice and snow for 20+ years in Alaska and I can tell you there are some types of conditions with ice where it doesn’t matter how slow you’re going. You’re going to slide. I’ve been on ice were even at a complete stop just a slant of the road will move whatever vehicle you’re in. In those types of conditions there’s literally nothing you can do. You’re going to go where the ice takes you.
This is why as drivers when things get that slick we must shut down. -
Unfortunately I have already paid the ticket, I know, I messed up. I should also mention that I did not get fired from that company. Oh and my previous company said I can come back whenever I want lol.

Lawyer up next time. -
23 years otr and I've had my share of speeding tickets mainly due to my lead foot as a smart ### youth... More than I'd rather mention.
My experience is that YOU FIGHT EVERYTHING!!! Either show up in person or if possible hire a cdl attorney. If you can show up without an attorney get an extention on the court date. Cops will usually choose a single day of the week for court to handle their tickets and if you change that date, there's a good chance he won't show. Over half of my tickets were dismissed due to the officer not showing up or even "not recalling" the incident once.. I know, weird. I think he appreciated how cool I was with him at the time so he was helping me out..
Anyway, just by showing up, you're telling the judge that you take this seriously and they usually appreciate that. Even if it doesn't get tossed, alot of the time it will be reduced.. Better luck next time but be careful and hopefully there won't be a next time....Dennixx and ProfessionalNoticer Thank this. -
That way the judge and prosecutor don’t also work for the same money hungry podunk town as the cop
and the cop can’t predict when the court date will be in the state court .
Much better odds of them not showing up
but the best thing is just to hire an attorneyAxiomAT Thanks this. -
