I was 20 to 25k every year on this truck. Figured this is gonna ne the same as new one but better fuel mileage on new one and tax write off.

That's crazy they are selling new cars as is.

    Joe,

My local dealer texted me a few days ago asking if I wanted a truck for end of 2nd quarter or start of 3rd quarter this year but had to be Paccar. There must be a little bit of movement going on but I certainly hadn’t heard anything major. Maybe I’ll call him tomorrow and see what he says.

KW W900L placed on order late Oct. to early Nov. At the time I was told a whole year for an estimated build time, but about a month into my order my salesman told me quite a few folks cancelled orders and I was able to get a 4-5 months ETA. Truck should be out of the factory by now, and should be at the dealership sometime this upcoming week. I got to see my cab/sleeper get mounted on frame here at the Renton, WA plant. Truck was dated for Mar. 1st start build but got pushed to the 16th.

To add onto the fact, I learned the smaller cabs (T800 & W900) get built here in Renton and what the plant ended up doing to save cost was not store parts in house. They instead have trailers loaded from parts manufacturers in order of the chassis on the factory floor. This is what caused a ripple in their parts shortage for these particular models. If you're itching for a truck, I think you're likely to get a T800 or W9 series sooner than the 680 and 880 from KW. But my salesman did tell me if I ordered my exact spec right now, it would cost me 15k more.. WTF. lol

Well I am pretty sure I sold my current truck, tomorrow will verify. I sure hope my new truck gets its parts in shortly. Any new updates on anyone getting the new trucks you ordered?

I still can’t believe you haven’t gotten your truck. I thought Kenworth was bad but this is plain embarrassing for Volvo.
