Do you drive what you like? It sure seems so. Everyone should be able to feel the same way. I seldom park in truck stops, mostly if that’s the meet place for the farmer to meet us early in the morning to weigh then take us to go load. I can’t back as far as you would like because with a 53 spread my rear axle is at the back of the trailer. Why am I rude because I couldn’t sleep the night before worried about some non driving lunatic tearing my hood off. So not only am I glad you gotta show me your skill set I’m tickled pink you gonna smell cow #### all night to do it. Amazing how many door swingers tell me I need to slide my axles forward.....so I tell em I don’t know how. The next response is let me show you. Talk bout a good time videoing that poop and puttin it on tic toc. The thing I like bout my ol big hood the most is I can make your life way more miserable than you can mine for the time we are there, what an awesome feeling. While guys like you are hatin I’m havin fun. So don’t confuse it for dislike, hell I don’t even know you how can I instantly know I don’t like you with out profiling or something cause of what you drive or prefer to drive....

Lololololololol. This is the funniest, most entitled post I’ve read on here in a while. “These make my life harder so I’ll be happy if they’re gone”. Do you ever slow down and think that those trucks are doing the exact same thing that you’re doing? That maybe your skill set could be improved upon so that you do your job better? If any little thing makes your life harder do you always just want whatever it is removed or do you ever figure out how to live with it?

I get your point on the automatic trucks but my comment was more about “hoods” as I’ve seen it several times, I person jumps in one and right back out
They’re not comfortable seeing all that real estate out front and are intimidated by them and then add shifting?? Many aren’t even qualified or endorsed to drive a manual

    I’ve had both
Manuals up to my last two trucks which were automatics and now back to a manual
I liked the auto in a lot of situations but I’m happy to be back in total control

This guy is just mad that he can’t get his flip flop foot on the dash of a truck with those massive oversized hoods. And if you have an auto restriction it does make you a lesser qualified truck driver.

As I'm reading this, the picture in my mind is a truck backing in with steers going from lock to lock and the tractor unnecessarily jack knifed so tight the cab extenders are at risk.

It was also good reminder as to why I'm so picky about where I park in truckstops, especially if I'm loaded. Defensive parking, if you will. And sadly, one even has to think about exposure to trucks just driving down the aisles nowadays, as you're as likely to get nailed by tailswing as backed into. Bunch of NDA's out here, anymore!

What's that? What's an NDA? Why that's a No Driving ###, of course!
