Why are we so concerned with fuel prices?

Will increased fuel costs put you out of business?

My engine is weak. Was supposed to have my new one at the end of January but got screwed so had to find another builder and start process all over. So I don’t go far from home. My buddy can come rescue my load if I have major breakdown. So far the only two week breakdown happened when I was empty on way to get loaded.

Hopefully I will have the new engine within the next 3-4 weeks and I may go further. So far I have been doing fine with were I run. Just not as many choices as before.

I am also picky about customers. I am easily irritated so I cater to myself and easy interactions with customers LOL.

It’s not great but it’s not all doom and gloom yet. Worse case scenario in my area, I can park the truck and go haul water in the oilfield till everything straightens out in 3 years.

Don't recall what city it was but, I heard on the news radio this morning they were giving away $20 in free gasoline. The lined stretched as far as your eyes could see and people waited up to 4 hours for this free $20 in gas.

Are folks really this broke? Do they have nothing better to do? Are they stupid?

How much gasoline is wasted sitting in line for 4 hours turning the car off&on? Not to mention the starter...

I don't care if it was $100 no way in hell am I sitting in line 4 hours for that.

If they wanna fill my Peterbilt with diesel, then maybe I'll sit in line. :p

Yes and no. People want something for nothing. Why aren’t those people at work? You ever see the people that get food from food banks? Roll up in a decent car on a $1000 cell phone. If you can’t afford food you can’t afford a car. That food doesn’t reach the needy people like it appears to. Bottom line is people are POS. All this so called assistance and programs barely reaches the intended individuals. It’s just another lie that people accept.

Seen a foodbank in Worthington oh. All the people in line had expensive vehicles. And if your familiar that area is upper class.
People are greedy. Especially rich folks.

Good friend of mine had boxes of pantry food one time. I asked why as they didn’t need the handout. Said it was some program that forced a certain amount of food on you or they wouldn’t give you any. So the people who got it didn’t need that much and my friend was donating it elsewhere.

I topped off in Ga this morning. For some reason the discount went from .4x to .7x yesterday. I haven’t seen much fluctuations in the price,it’s been the discount rising and falling.

No doubt. I use to volunteer at a soup kitchen (Our Daily Bread) in downtown Baltimore City and 90 percent of the people there were covered in gold jewelry and expensive clothes while driving really nice new cars. It was a rude awakening for me and my naive outlook on American "poverty". Tax payers are the real losers.
