The only thing that actually ever gave me any kind of trouble was shooting a 44 and I had forgotten to put my ear plugs in. Just once!

I had tinnitus for a year...a perfect C note. I could match it on the piano. It was weird and very annoying! It went away though and has never come back and that was 15 years ago at least.

I have what the audiologist calls "a profound hearing loss". That's doctor speak for "deaf as a post".
I went to that site looking for information on hearing aids but it's mostly drama and self promotion.

That's a good article. I got my first set years ago from the VA. Knowing what I know now, I'll never go back.
IHS was available but I would have had to travel 200 miles for every appointment.
I went to Costco and everything good I've heard about them is true. That article had it right.

Thanks for that recommendation. When I get to the point that I need hearing aids I will go to Costco. They already get my money for glasses, prescriptions, and most of our food and supplies, may as well give them a little more. Use my Costco credit card and increase my annual rebate!!!

The noise levels in a Prime truck rolling downhill above 62 are at 200db from the screaming.

I hope my warning to protect your hearing does not fall on deaf ears. Listen while you still can. No amount of money is worth going permanently deaf for. I see a lot of drivers protecting their eyes with sunglasses; why don't they do the same for their ears? Is one more important than the other?
