Whoever in CS that put me on this load can eat my ### with a spoon.

They knew I had to be up early in order to deliver the previous load before 1000. Yet they put me on a load that doesn't live load until 1700? With ZERO chance of getting worked in early? Then lied to dispatch and told them "the shipper said they would try to work me in."

I finally get out of there and get parked at 2030. Got the very last spot (not counting ramp parking) at this rest area. it's been a long day. I'm tired, I'm hangry, and I really feel like punching somebody.

That’s been happening a lot lately. Last week picked up load north of Chicago going to Edwardsville on way to Edwardsville was told their was a load at pontoon that delivered at 5 am. So cheated a bit picked up load got to olive branch at 2230. Took a 5 hr break got load delivered then was given a load that delivered 7am next day.

One of the few benefits I've found being a tanker yanker is the appointments are a lot more flexible, especially when you're delivering something the customer has run out of and is waiting for more to start the production line up again. Another benefit is tanker deliveries aren't as frequent as with dry van and drivers can often stay in the spot they used for delivery. My last delivery had both, that sure makes it easier to get things delivered sooner without having to worry about parking.

I think this is a side effect of the warvelheaded load planners being added into the mix. I don't think our dispatchers have much flexibility with giving us our loads anymore.

Is warvelhead West Virginia slang? I don't think I've heard that term before.
